INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pita bread, cut into two half moon pockets
  • 2 lettuce leaves
  • ½ pear, sliced
  • ½ avocado, sliced

 

Tuna Salad:

  • 1 can (170 g) pale flaked tuna, well drained
  • 1 green onion, minced
  • 1 TBSP mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • Black pepper, to taste

 

Dressing:

  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a bowl, mix all of the ‘Tuna Salad’ ingredients. Set aside.
  2. In a small container, mix all of the ‘Dressing’ ingredients. Set aside.
  3. Open one half of the pita and layer the lettuce leaves, pear slices, avocado slices and tuna salad, then sprinkle with dressing and serve immediately. Enjoy!
