Dear Patient Alumni Members

Dear patient alumni members:

Thank you very much for supporting our “Survey of Patient-Centered Outcomes”. We received a great number of responses (1015 during the survey period!) and have used them to compile a purely patient-defined quality of life surrogate called “disability-free survival”. In other words, it’s survival with good quality of life, free from events that might lead to loss of personal independence and freedom. We’ve successfully applied this new concept in a large study of all Ontario patients who had CABG surgery from 2008-2015 and have submitted our paper for publication.

Patient-centered care is key to the modern delivery of healthcare. We thank you for your valuable contribution to our move towards engaging patients in our delivery of personalized research and healthcare.

If you have any questions about this research or would like to partner with us in future projects, please feel free to contact me at 613-696-7381.

Sincerely,
