The University of Ottawa Patient Alumni Association invites you to its very first Meet the Expert conference, as part of the new Patient Alumni Speaker Series that will connect Heart Institute patients and experts, as well as members of the community, on a variety of topics related to heart disease, and in an informal and social setting.

Ms. Josée Desjardins – Daughter of the Heart Institute’s 500^th transplant patient

Organ transplants have improved the quality of life for many Canadians. Yet many patients are still faced with challenges – from chronic complications to the lack of available organs. Almost five years after the the Heart Institute’s 500th heart transplant, come out to chat with experts and patients alike! Share your views on organ transplant and donation, and your ideas for potential solutions, and learn about the latest in transplant research and care.
