Patient Partners Needed!

If you are a patient or family member / caregiver of a patient with poor heart function and coronary artery disease, we need your help!

In our April Digest, we were proud to let you know that over 3000 patient alumni members contributed to work being led by Dr. Louise Sun to better understand which outcomes, after a cardiac event, were important to patients.

You can read more here.

With your support, Dr. Sun is continuing to build on this work.

You are invited to participate in a research study to identify patient outcomes that patients truly care about after treatment for coronary artery (heart) disease.  Participation is voluntary.

Patients with heart disease, their families, caregivers, and health care providers who are regularly involved in the care of these patients are invited to participate. We will ask each participant to complete a few short online surveys then hold an in-person meeting at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute (UOHI) to reach agreement on a list of 5 – 6 key outcomes. Each survey will take no more than 5-10 minutes and the in-person meeting will take about half a day (3-4 hours). You will be compensated for parking (if from the Ottawa region) and travel expenses (if from out of town).

All participant responses will remain anonymous and no identifying information will be collected for the study.

If you would like to participate in this study, or have any questions, please contact the Patient Alumni at info@ottawaheartalumni.ca.
