Results from the Patient Alumni Social Media Survey

This summer we surveyed our readers regarding our social media channels – thanks to everyone who responded!  Here’s what we learned.

Based on survey responses, of the three social media platforms that the Patient Alumni Association is using, Facebook is the primary platform used.  Only small groups of alumni follow us on Instagram and Twitter.

Readers confirmed that they’re interested in seeing posts on a variety of topics – for example, news about the latest medical advances, invitations to events, recipes and heart-healthy living advice. As a result, we’ll continue to provide those to you through our social media platforms.  Some respondents proposed new content suggestions that we will explore in the coming months.

Some readers who don’t use social media asked that all our information also be shared by email or on the website. To meet that need, watch for a new section in our monthly Digest that will profile a few of the most popular posts from our social media each month.
