Things are about to get Epic with MyChart!
As some of you may know, the University of Ottawa Heart Institute is working hard to implement a new Health Information System (HIS) called Epic. The official launch date for Epic is June 1, 2019.
Among many functionalities, Epic has its own patient portal (similar to myOttawaHeart) called MyChart.
MyChart will provide patients with online access to their medical records. It enables patients to participate in their healthcare.
We believe that MyChart will empower and encourage patients to become partners in their healthcare in this digital age. More information will be circulated on how we transition from myOttawaHeart to MyChart in the coming month.
