Cocoa Nutty Energy Bites

Step Amount Ingredients
1 2 Tbsp. 30ml Pure local maple syrup
  3 Tbsp. 45 ml Unsweetened cocoa powder
  1 tsp. 5ml Pure vanilla extract
2 ¼ cup 62.5ml Sunflower seeds (raw), finely ground
  ¼ cup 62.5ml Pumpkin seeds (raw), finely ground
  ½ cup 125ml Unsweetened coconut, finely ground
  ¼ cup 62.5ml Hazelnut/Almond/Peanut butter
Garnish: Coconut shredded/Hemp seeds, as needed


Step 1

  • Combine cocoa powder, maple syrup, and vanilla and nut butter. Mix really well until combined.

Step 2

  • Using a coffee/spice grinder put seeds/coconut in ¼ cup at a time and grind until finely ground.
  • Stir in finely ground ingredients until well blended.

Step 3

  • Shape into ¾ inch spheres/balls and then roll into additional garnish shredded coconut/hemp seeds.

Step 4

  • Store in air-tight container in the fridge to set. Freeze for up to 3 months.
